INTERVIEW WITH CONGRESSMAN PAUL DAZA, CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FIRST DISTRICT OF NORTHERN SAMAR

Congressman Paul Daza has arrived from Manila for congress recess. The congressman is pleased to have the opportunity to express his idea about tourism in Northern Samar.

In an impromptu interview, the congressman encourages all sectors in the society to participate in building the tourism industry in the province. He invites investors and retirees to come to Northern Samar and take advantage of the affordable and world class real property, the tourist attractions which are comparable to other countries like Thailand, accessibility and convenience, and the hospitality of the people.

The first district is facing the San Bernardino Straight, considered as the gateway to the Pacific. Tourism potential here is endless. Islands with magnificient beaches and seas abundant with corals and sealife, these are among the attractions in the western side of the province. This part of the province is the staging point of transportation from Luzon to the Visayas and finally to Mindanao. Yes! We are composed of islands but we can travel with vehicles on those islands. San Bernardino Straight is considered as Pacific's entrance to the Philippine seas. Thus, Northern Samar is blessed with plenty of fish and a healthy marine life.

The beaches along the towns in this area stretch non contiguously up to 50 kilometers. The national road in Northern Samar is all concrete and the airport now serves 5 flights a week to and from Manila. Congressman Paul Daza is striving hard to promote tourism in the province.
