CATUBIG, GATEWAY TO RIVER HIGHWAY

This is the church of Catubig, one of the oldest in the Philippines. Northern Samar is the area of evangilization of the Jesuit missionaries in the early days of Spanish colonization. The church stands in front of the river dock. Fiesta is coming so the atmosphere here is lively. Visiting the church will give a tourist a glimpse of the history of the town.

We just park our car next to the church and we're set to take the boat to Las Navas.
